GUESSS is organized and managed through a cooperation of the University of St.Gallen and the University of Bern (both Switzerland).

The GUESSS CEO is Prof. Dr. Philipp Sieger from the University of Bern. He is supported by a Board consisting of Prof. Dr. Urs Fueglistaller (Chairman), Prof. Dr. Thomas Zellweger, Prof. Dr. Isabella Hatak and Prof. Norris Krueger (w/o fig.) – (pic: from left to right)

In each participating country, there is one official country team who is responsible for data collection in that country. Specifically, these teams send the survey invitation to their own students and recruit other university partners in their country (see Participation).
